Accident

Major motorcycle accident! There was a laundry list of injuries, but I'm still here. Would you believe this was my first accident? Of course I've duffed dirt bikes more times than I can count but never on a street bike. I have finally joined the ranks of those that have gone down.

I didn't have a scratch on me. Literally! What I did have was a:

• Broken scapula
• Collapsed lung
• Broken ribs
• Open femur fracture

I am now the proud owner of a titanium rod and three screws in my left femur.

Six weeks in a wheelchair with my leg propped up and my arm in a sling. Arduous, I tell you! After that it was six more weeks of physical therapy, but I can walk unassisted.
