Map Making

I've been using Garmin's BaseCamp application to plot my route. BaseCamp is a free download, but they charge for maps - $50 actually. I, believing that said information should be free of charge for the betterment of society, decide to find an alternative. Eureka! OpenStreetMap (OSM) maps can be loaded into Garmin BaseCamp from http://garmin.openstreetmap.nl. Granted, these maps don't look as pretty as Garmin's, but at this point, I'm in business.
