On the way to Miami, I popped in at a buddy's house in Riverview. We chatted about the happenings at the company we both work for while I have been away. It was kind of like work, so the kibosh had to be put on that one post haste. I'm on vacation! We had lunch at a local falafel joint, and I made way towards South Beach.
My cousin lives in an apartment complex that has the most obscure entrance ever. I rode up and down the street looking for the way to enter the complex. Finally, I called my cousin, and they came down and let me in. I had rode past the entrance three times; however, it didn't appear to be part of that complex. Shrug.
The only thing I could think about by this time was air conditioning. Man, it was hot, and the humidity could have been cut with a knife. I dropped all my riding gear and chilled while we talked about what I wanted to do while in Miami.
Eventually, my cousin and I packed up and headed to downtown Ft. Lauderdale. We walked along the canal and checked out the skyline. We were both a little hungry, so we decided to find something to eat down on Las Olas Boulevard. It's a happenin' section of the city. We found this awesome Greek place where the food was fantastic.
