After my accident, I thought it pertinent to be absolutely certain that the bike was straight and worth fixing. That said, I took the bike to Kent at GMD Computrack in Atlanta to see if it was straight. He measured the bike and confirmed everything was great except for a little tweak on the top triple clamp. He and his partner, Mike, fixed it right up. They are good guys who are extremely knowledgable.
So being affirmed that the bike is worth fixing, I tore into her with the aim of putting her back in working order. It's a good thing I decided to go deep as I discovered a bad swingarm pivot bearing. I had to heat the swingarm up and beat the collar out with a hammer. Once out, there were heat marks around the center of the collar. It would've failed sooner rather than later.
